Literature Text

They said, "We want you to stay"
It all means nothing
When the dishes are done

Never belong in one place
No matter how long
Your name is on the box

Compelling blackmail
Treatise under the bed
Shoes tied, hat on
Out the door like a
Hell-bat released

Nobody wants you to stay
Let them bicker
'Cause the dishes aren't done

Never remember the face
No matter which mirror
You use to shave

Tripping on sidewalk cracks
Stopping to scrape off
The gum and dead snails

Throw the stick at the neighbor's dog

They didn't want you to stay
It all means nothing
Unless the laundrey gets done

Never belong in one place
No matter how long
The bills come for you

Haven't forgotten the face
It always stares back
Solitary, confused
Probably gonna scrap this later. I'm just posting it so I won't lose it in the labyrinth of my computer's FS.

It's just a poem. Take deeper meaning if you want, but I'm not baring my soul or anything. God knows I know better than to do that anymore.

Okay, now I'm really gone.
