"You're back," Caroline said, smiling and actually waving a little.  Angie had gone back to reading her book, but with no semblance of peace or even comfort.  Her shoulders were hunched, and she took a noticeably long time to turn a page.  She didn't look up at me.

I nodded, and walked wistfully over to the couch.  I say 'wistfully', but really it was just a dizzy sort of totter quieted down for the girls' sake and my own prid
Color Me InAfter the mostly pleasant chaos of Giovanni's house, my flat felt dreadfully dull.  I didn't want to mope, though, so I decided to spend Sunday cleaning up a bit.  By the time I thought of it, it was too far into the evening to lug my things down to the laundry.  There were still plenty of other chores I had been putting off, though.  I started with the least disgusting.  Even if I couldn't wash any dirty clothes until tomorrow, I could at least gather them up.

Unfortunately, this didn't take long.  I really was infernally tidy, and I hadn't been in a mood to toss my clothes anywhere but in the laundry basket lately.  I gave it a little kick
Inevitable XIn the first five seconds after Van rushed off, three things happened.  I unfroze myself enough to hold my stinging cheek and slide down the wall, the door swung gently shut with a painful click, and the phone rang.  The first was the only thing I could actually deal with, but I managed to answer the phone after two more rings.

"Hello?"  Ugh, I sounded so pathetic.  Like pond scum drudged out of a mud sucker's nose… er, gills.

"…Where's Van?"

Fuck everything—I knew that voice.  A growl started at the back of my mouth, but I held it in check.  The last thing I needed

:D I'm really happy with this. It is based on one of the weirdest conversations that Mayaj and I have had of late, in which Kyle gender-switched poor Pundit and Giovanni... Mikey was a gentleman and gave Pundit his shirt. And....I don't know if I can adequately explain anything else.

Planned this days ago, did all of it today. Tired now. :faint:

You ought to write a brief story of them in this mode...like once one of my characters had a dream she'd been turned into a guy for a day...I have no doubt you'd come up with something just too fantastic!!! :)
