Whoa. Wild! You definitely have the feel right. And of course the faded color obviously works for a mental picture. What's best about what you did was mood you gave it. Its exactly as I saw it! I was a little afraid you were gonna excentuate a mood to be either too bright or too gloomy. You hit it straight on the head.
Hmm, for a next time? Well, I dunno this seems right, but I would say this: I had pictured the forest/lake/mountain to have a perspective of being farther away, like miles away. Hmm, all else I can think of is that maybe the forest would have a more prominent place, but otherwise, its just fine. Nice work!
