Marble Green Tea Pocky by Kid-Apocalypse Marble Green Tea Pocky by Kid-Apocalypse
100 Themes Challenge, #87 "Food"

Well, most of last night sucked, until I got to work and it was only the normal sort of suckitude. However. My brother came back from his Halo party in Logan! Yaaaaay!! So of course I grabbed him and made him give me an idea.

Me: See? All the boring themes are left.
Ethan: : points at "Food": Duh. Draw a food you like.
Me: .....just a food?
Ethan:  Draw Pocky.
Me: .....AS A PERSON! genius. What flavor?
Ethan: Your favorite. Strawberry?
Me: :looking at coconut Pocky: Marble green tea would be fun to color, though.
Ethan: Go for it.

Her name is Verdine, btw. .....Six themes to go....

Awesome! :D

I've tried green tea pocky, and it was weeeeeird. I also tried green tea Kit Kat bars, and those were far, far weirder. *shakes head*

Anyway, like the outfit, LOVE the pattern. :D

Thank you~ :thanks:

Green tea itself is pretty weird. Especially when brewed in a coffee pot. That is the most yellow you will ever see green tea.

The pattern is called scribbling! :D

There is not an art school in the world that would argue with you. Mostly because they wouldn't touch me with at ten-foot pole.

Now that would be fun to go as for a Halloween costume. "I'm Pocky!"

 More likely to see it at a convention, though, I think...I'd do it, certainly.

I love Hat Day at school. One year I pinned striped cloth to a baseball cap and pinned an aluminum-foil 'snake' to it. Instant Hatshepsut.

Last year, they made a serious mistake on Hat Day. They were giving out cheapo jester hats... and while near-everyone else was just leaving them in hallways and in classrooms, I collected them and gave them to hatless teachers (keeping one for myself of course... in fact it's on my desk! *puts it on*).

We've only got overpriced chocolate and strawberry, so I order mine from an online Asian market. Pocky is incredibly varied...

Well....'taint a big enough pocky fan to go THAT far...:o I'm pretty finicky about the sweets anyway. Not a big chocolate fan at all. A box of chocolates can last me up to a year, and even then, I usually have help with it.

You might be if you see the variety. Two words: Pocky Decorer. ;) But I don't really like chocolate either, oddly enough. I can't eat a Hershey's bar to save my life, and I hate plain M&Ms. ^^;

You may have a point there...:)
I can usuallly down a Hershey's bar IF it has almonds in it...but I don't usually buy them, per se, and then IF I do, I feel the bar to see how many almonds are in it...:D
It's the plain M&Ms I can't eat to save my life. =P

I hope so. One of the nice things about Pocky is that it's not as sharply sweet as a lot of....um, not-Japanese candy. And the biscuit is yummy.

:giggle: I used to pretend I was allergic to almonds when I was kid--people kept offering them to me, and I didn't like them much.

....is the only way to get it. ;p

Friends have parties. Depending on their interests, the types of parties they have vary quite a bit. I know I'd rather play video games and toss pizza toppings at someone than sit around and watch people get drunk, so bring on the Halo parties for me.

My mother was a bartender who has 5 kids, you can imagine what I've seen lol.

Heh, figured you might find this interesting: I started working on a tab for a theme in a video game, Diablo's (PC) Tristram theme. Its kinda cool, if you get the chance to hear it somewhere.

Awesome. :D I'll have to look around for it, I've never even played Diablo...
