MMOSG - log on COVER by Kid-Apocalypse MMOSG - log on COVER by Kid-Apocalypse
This took...so, so long. And it started on a whim.

To give an idea of how long, I had to dredge up PS7 and get it to work--not a picnic--and then convert some brushes, and then I went looking across the interwebs for stock that would suit my whimsy. A couple of them made it in, but then that looked too 'busy', so I scrapped them out.

I also did crazy research on some stupid things that...probably apply to something.

Fonts: dafont

I used Painter 9 for all of the text work except the stuff on the spine. Pretty much everything else was done in Photoshop 7. Original resolution is inline with a 5.5" x 8.5" book cover, so I could use this eventually, if the stock artists are cool with that.

It's fun to break out of the standard mold once in a while though, innit? :)

 I had the most fun with the fonts, I think.

I probably won't actually write this. General reception of the idea hasn't been what anyone would call "keen".

Haha, that just made me smile. Lately I feel...like genre-hopping.

.....aaaaaannnd she off! :D I've always thought that that's where some of our inspiration comes from...the little bits we pick up here and there just kinda conglomerated together to form their own idea, or world, as it is...;)

To several false starts, but at least they were fun. It does. I came up with a much better idea for my atavism, where the people are in some ways more advanced than humans because of that world's genetic history.

It's funny when you can pick out those conglomerated bits.
