You'd think reading comics would make me more aware. :\ Mrrr. I'm too clueless by half.
It's a good place to start, to learn drawing limbs, in an exaggerated sense. But we're so used to seeing them ala comics, it's become part of a norm.
This is true. It also depends on what kinds of comics you read. One I think I should like to be influence more by (oh my grammar is dead) is Hannah Is Not A Boy's Name. The proportions and things can get quite stylised, and I think that kind of whimsy and freedom would be good to play with and learn from.
Yeah, I concur. I would love to learn a bunch of different styles. I can't imagine myself doing landscapes, realism forever.
