*shrug* I read up to "Wizards in Space"... It's not the absolute oh-my-god-more-more best series, but it's not bad.

Mostly nostalgic for me. I read it when it was a four-book series... "Wizards in Space"?

You should see it now. XD There are dinner dishes on it, from eating pizza and watching DVDs...

And I shall never tidy it! NEVER. :salute:

 22 inches. And 7 and a half pounds! My mom was shocked at how heavy Riley is...

Wow! The weight's gotta be mostly doll then...I understand the material, now. Is she "fragile", or can she take a light beating? ie accidental tumbles off the desk...:?

Yeah. Y'know, I'm afraid to find out. ^^; Nearly did, yesterday--a wooden camel on the same shelf fell on my head, but Riley just watched. She sits on a lower shelf now.

Yeah with that kind of investment, I'd be chary of finding out, as well. I gotta ask...is her hair removable? like if you wanted to replace it with a different style?

Exactly. Yes, it's a wig--I'd like to buy her a shorter one, this one is very very long and kind of gets in the way a bit. You can also style it, but if you don't stick it to her head with some double-sided tape, it can be a slippery devil.

Oh, alright! The more I learn about this, the better I understand the quality of the doll. The price is beginning to make better sense. I wonder if there's an advantage of acrylic over glass eyes...:?

I think glass eyes might be movable, but I'm really not sure. They look more realistic, I think, and they catch light better, so if that's a factor... These dolls certainly are customizable from the feet up, though. I would recommend a smaller one, though, say a 41cm doll.
