Dead and Getting Deader by Kid-Apocalypse Dead and Getting Deader by Kid-Apocalypse
100 Themes Challenge, #43 "Dying"

I haven't brought my sketchbook to work in ages, so it's been forever since I last drew Chopstick and Dead Guy Jones. She's really easy to draw, I don't even use layers for the lineart. And the palette is really friggin easy. ;p It'd be unspeakable to give her actual color, I swear.

"If I'm already dead, then why do I feel like I'm dying?"
"Welcome to the world, sweet cheeks."

Yes, that would make for an interesting comic. I tried it once...I think I started with the wrong genre. :P

Hopefully. I'll probably make a deviantart account for it when I have more done....
What genre did you use?

Started with serio-comedy, with a touch of dark, and it just didn't work out. :{ I'd eventually like to try again, but maybe with less dark, and more comedy...everyone who's seen the works claims I do well with exaggerated expressions, so it's a kind of surreal realism...if that makes sense...

That's kind of what Rice in the Afterlife is, comedy with some darkness. Oh, now I wanna see too! :please:

It's in a vampiric stage...dead, but not really dead...and it sucks! I'd have to make some modifications on it before I tried to revive it again...

That's what scraps are for. [insert knowing smile here] But nah, I understand. I haven't put any of the RitA comics up here yet.

You ever find your art style has changed to the point where you lost the feeling for the concept. Does that make sense? A couple of my comics were drawn in such a style that it helped make the comic, and I can't seem to recapture it just yet...:( 's like my pencil doesn't like the style anymore...

Hopefully. :fingerscrossed: I only have to start filling up sketchbook pages--and get better at scripting the comics. ^^;

Scrpting comics is harder than it looks, isn't it?

Mostly I need to get how dialogue goes. I don't get to have enormous sentences full of the speaker just making crap up. :giggle: Nope. It has to be more concise making crap up. And there's going to be action-y stuff soon, so we'll see how that goes...

Great! How do I make it go quicker? ^^;
I'm hiding from it right now. I have five scripted that I should draw, but it's weird how hard it is to make myself do it when I'm not at work....

All I can say about adding it to favorites and still make some form of sense is that I simply like it. ^^;

It'll be slow. ^^; I was using my lunch break to draw it (after not even touching my sketchbook in a very very long time) and took the entire half hour to get one comic strip done.

:shrug: The way I figure, the longer time it takes, the more worthwhile it'll become for us :p

Taking a long time doesn't mean it's very good yet. ;) I still need practice drawing comics. I'll probably have the hang of it by they time I have ten or twenty or so.
