"No more important than sand. Is that what you wanted?"

Bitter much, Grem? Eleuin isn't afraid of him, she just doesn't want to say or do the wrong thing.

Still lazy on BGs, but at least I found a good thing to do rather than stupid white. I'm considering getting a mediafire account or something so I can share some of the music I listened to while drawing this. It's the "soundtrack" for the NaNo. :D [link]

You've captured the expressions well. :) He really does look grumpy, and she really does look aprehensive. :D

Thank you. :D These two finally got me drawing more. Still up and down on the style thing, but I'm drawing. Expressions are always the hardest part of style exploration.

Also! :glomp: I missed you!

Well, that's normal. I mean look at MY art. :) And yes, expressions are difficult. I've noticed in art, that in order for us to represent a particular mood, we generally have to exaggerate them on our characters. And the other thing....have you ever really seen someone frown and smile at the same time? :)

Well, thanks, because I missed talking to you, too. :D

You've got this beautiful consistency that runs throughout though. Sometimes I'm afraid I'll be accused of "stealing" my own art. I tend to get lost in the lines of things, not thinking enough about the things that can only be articulated with colour and shading in expressions. Ambivalence goes far, but I think that just becomes a grimace.

Hee. When I finally saw some messages, I think I gleed aloud. I was also worried, so it's good to know that nothing bad happened to you!

Well, NOW I do. But keep in mind I was at where you are now, but see...also keep in mind I didn't focus on writing, either. Every bit of determination and skill went into my art, and still does. But I will say, if you had the capacity to draw as well as you write, your art would be truly amazing!
As you keep drawing, it will eventually get there, rest assured on that. Darwin's theory of evolution as far as people go was applied in the wrong context. Evolution is part of life. It can't be helped.

Ugh. Right now, I think I'm battling a bug of some sort. I have severe attacks of the dizzies accompanied by the resulting nausea, and spaciness. Earlier I couldn't look at the computer screen because the brightness was making me feel sick. A quick nap seems to have taken the edge off of it, but I still can't move a certain way without feeling like crud, and I can't bend my head a certain way without the room suddenly spinning like rotor blades.

I see what you mean, yeah. Art is very much a focus in you, I know, and I definitely don't have the same ability(?) to centre on any one thing to begin with; but when it comes to creative outlets, I do default to writing. Seven years of art versus twenty-two years of writing... Old am I.

:worry: That's terrible. Is it something going around, or stress? Can you take anything, homeopathic or otherwise?

:) That's alright. It's what makes this world an interesting place; the diversity of talents and abilities. I had an interesting dream once, some time ago. I dreamt of what it might have been like when we were nothing but intelligences...existing, but boring...we knew veritabley nothing beyond our immediate existence, and we were all nearly exactly alike. Made me think of the line from a song: "And they're all made out of ticky-tacky, and they all look just the same." I guess we should be thankful for our individuality, and the experiences therein.

I'm not sure what the problem is/was. It's gotten better except for a slight case of spaciness. I slept a lot yesterday in a more or less upright position, and that seemed to help. I still have a touch of the dizzies, but it's mercifully brief. =/

Whoa, that makes me think of Pratchett's Auditors... That would be horrible indeed. (no chocolate, for one thing)

Maybe some kind of bug then maybe. Dizziness is nothing to treat lightly, I don't have to tell you...
