100 Themes Challenge, #41 "Teamwork"

AT EFFING LAST. I put this in games fanart because Buzz Lightyear technically has video games. And that way I could lump him with Lise, of Seiken Densetsu 3 and general awesomeness. Please don't mention how I messed up her arm proportions, I know and chose not to fix it. <--this is a test to see if people actually read this stuff, because I'm starting to think they don't.)

This is my brother's choice of traveling companions were he given that choice. Doubtless inspired by my [link] But also because I nagged him about picking them and letting me draw him with 'em.

My brother looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo. :giggle: And Buzz Lightyear was freaking FUN. I took about a week to draw Ethan, half an hour to draw Buzz, and then maybe two hours to draw Lise. Drawing real people is hard when they keep changing their minds about stuff. My references for Buzz and Lise were a sticker and a game sprite, respectively.

Buzz Lightyear (c) Disney, Pixar, etc.
Lise de Rolande (c) Square-Enix
Ethan, a.k.a. That One Guy EC (c) Mom

The Buzz man is the best ;D

Who is the elf girl, I wonder?

Thanks. I love drawing these types of pics...
Heck yes.

She's a video game character, Lise from Secret of Mana 3 for Super Nintendo.

Theres some minute detail in Buzz thats good work; i know I would have given up in frustration drawing him. ^^;

Wow! Lol, now I am impressed. You took your idea from super nintendo? That must have been a lot of improvisation. :D

Really? I think minute detail is fun....and I had a good reference, even if it was just a sticker.

I'm kind of inclined to say that you should be. ^^; It was the second-ish time I've drawn a character with only a sprite as reference.

Maybe I was scared out of it for being yelled at for using all the paper because of screw ups :D *shrugs*

Lol i keep thinking of drawing on my terms -- usually i need a more helpful reference heehee :D

I went through that...it's probably why I'm all about the digital art now. ^^;

Sometimes a more helpful reference is nowhere to be had. :frustrated: Times like that crop up too often...

Yea. :idea: Thats when you have to make your own. Draw different pieces of the total picture on seperate sheets and then refer to them when drawing the whole. At least, that was what I had done.

I'm too lazy to make my own references. ^^; If I have to just make it up as I draw, then that's what I do. Like Ark's gun....
