Color Me InAfter the mostly pleasant chaos of Giovanni's house, my flat felt dreadfully dull. I didn't want to mope, though, so I decided to spend Sunday cleaning up a bit. By the time I thought of it, it was too far into the evening to lug my things down to the laundry. There were still plenty of other chores I had been putting off, though. I started with the least disgusting. Even if I couldn't wash any dirty clothes until tomorrow, I could at least gather them up.

Unfortunately, this didn't take long. I really was infernally tidy, and I hadn't been in a mood to toss my clothes anywhere but in the laundry basket lately. I gave it a little kick

Inevitable XIn the first five seconds after Van rushed off, three things happened.  I unfroze myself enough to hold my stinging cheek and slide down the wall, the door swung gently shut with a painful click, and the phone rang.  The first was the only thing I could actually deal with, but I managed to answer the phone after two more rings.

Chalk Boyby ~Kid-Apocalypse

Taking a break from a larger project yet again, and mostly because I just realised that I forgot to go to sleep again. The weird thing is, I only ever notice this when I hear water on my window. (the sprinklers)

This is going to give me a chance at a background later, but for now, it's kind of just a shot of Ryan. He found a paint spill and decided to draw on it with a piece of chalk.

Kind of like with the Green Lady, this not what I'll do with colour--though I like the muted tones.

HE HAS GOT BUSTER BROWNS. Boy, you can't tell how old I am.

Him and his chalk fixed the problem I had with the matchmen, being that he ended up looking like a lonely sad sack just curled up on the sidewalk.

It's possible. Or it could just be me showing my age. Next thing you know, I'll be pointing out similarities between Buster's dog and the one on the Bonzo Dog Food Can in The Mouse and His Child.

Thanks. I hope the finished one is as much of an improvement as I think it is. Their heads are too big, but I did a lot more with clothing folds than I have in a long time.

It's funniest when we are looking, though. I've been playing some old games I had as a kid and laughing my head off.

Well, as I use AP, I've found the warp tool to come in handy, from time to time. In fact I used it on the lamia a couple of times.

Only until you've reached a certain age, then you begin to grumble about it.
Oh old games are a hoot to revisit. I concur with that, wholeheartedly.

Good...I had to ordered it through Amazon, though, because, I'm ashamed to say I don't have a credit, nor a debit card I can use over the net, and I got to borrow and refund someone else's card, as they wanted to make an Amazon purchase, anyway. I hope that doesn't mess things up on your end. I was told it would be here by the upcoming Friday.

Oh awesome! See, that's the real trick, being able to take any tool and bend it to your will. I think digital art adds that as a sort of "sidequest" almost, to artist talent. I've done some pictures based around some trick or another that I wanted to use or try.

Mostly I'm at the age where I grumble about everyone else. They're inferior because they're younger and therefore unimportant.

No worries at all. I understand card issues, and I'm thinking of just ordering a few author copies and taking personal orders for future books, so that other payment systems will be available.

which is why I'm hooked on digital art, anymore. dunno if that's good or bad, but I can paint subjects the way I want, and have it turn out quickly...instant gratification, see.

And there are always my two favourite keys, Ctrl and Z. The fact that you can have multiple saves, and therefore remix the same picture about until you're really happy with colour choice or an experimental wavelength.

I like them when they're too young to type.

Yeah, it's an option that I wasn't going to take, and then I went ahead and ticked the box. Amazon is a big place, but it's possible to find it there.
