Between the Lines -:cover:- by Kid-Apocalypse Between the Lines -:cover:- by Kid-Apocalypse

Another quick one that I had to interrupt with work. I know Akoni didn't turn out too well, but I loved this design idea. For once I actually know what to do with my title. Miranda (the only girl) and Lio (the dude on the far left) came out best.

The Onion Bible series is going to eventually be a bunch of YA stories set in a high school setting, hopefully different kinds of high schools. I've seen a lot of charter schools first hand, so I think I'll start with one of those at least.

I WOULD LOVE IT IF SOMEONE DREW THEM. Full body and such, colored or not. :please:

The logo is my half-assed design as well. It looks kind of like a dove that's had a run of really bad luck. :pointandlaugh:

If this were a television show...

I think about these things, no idea why.

EDIT: I think I fixed my problems with Anakoni.

I think the term I'd use is "creatively done" :)

:thanks: I had a lot of fun with it. This kind of thing is usually well beyond me...

Oh, I don't know about "well beyond..."...more like rarely touched upon. The ability is there...you're just not as well aquainted with it, as you are your writing ability, is all.

Thanks... You know, you've probably touched on something important there. I'm very confident in my writing, so perhaps I compare my other creative works to it and feel annoyed when they don't match up.

By the waaay, would you like to do a trade? I've got my new shiny computer, still to learn what I can do with it art-wise, and I'd love to see your rendition of the Between the Lines characters...

And it is the same with me and my writing. Were I to write as well as I paint and draw, I should be very pleased and published.

I thought you'd never ask :giggle: Of course! I've resurrected some older characters, and redesigned some new ones...whatcha want...old or new?

Indeed you would! After I move, I'm going to go back to school to eventually become an editor, so maybe something good will happen...

Ooh....um, new! I need to pay more attention to poses.

I am excited for you! That is so cool! Y'know I never thought I'd enjoy going back to school after I graduated, but I'm considering it myself later down the line. I believe you'd make a very fine editor.

Hm. Let's see then... ... ... how about a group? There's Reilyth, Pyne and Tori. Reilyth is human, Pyne and Tori are elvish, and Reilyth and Tori are female, Pyne , male. I should have a reference drawing here for you shortly.

 Thanks. I'm pretty excited about it too. All these books that I look at so critically just when I mean to read casually...seems like destiny.

Sounds great! :D I'll probably get started on a lineart as soon as said reference is available.

They're half in stasis. ^^; But they make me think.

I love it too. :D Gah, is it funny how much less work silhouettes are than actually drawing.

Lovely!! They all look awesome! And Akoni especially :D

.............Dude, I just realized: Anakoni means Giant-y in hebrew! Anak means giant, and the 'ni' at the end as you know from our nicknames is a suffix mean 'little/cute' ....His name literally means 'cute little giant'

btw, love to draw these guys, as you can imagine :D Shall we iron out the details Tuesday?

I still feel guilty for how short Ainsley came out though. :giggle: I blame the fact that everyone's height is based on Lio's, and he's a little too short in this.

:lmao: Well, he's hapa kepani, so it's a Hawaiian name. :) I think it's a form of Anthony...

:omfg: YEY.
