Contra-Bandy ch10When I woke up, my head was pounding again, and someone was nuzzling my neck. That was almost as annoying as the headache. I hated cuddling on principal, but it was worse when I knew it was just my drunk roommate. "Get off already. How much did you have last night anyway?"

The nuzzling slowly included lips. God. It tickled like hell. Whatever he was dreaming, I didn't want to be part of it. My recent experiences had quite put me off dreams. …Truthfully, I did want mine less than Shawn's, but not by very much.

My head was killing me, and my hands felt as if I'd stuck both of them into a garbage disposal. I moaned into the coarse pillow and tried to smother myself. My whole face felt dry and stretched, as if I had the mother of all sunburns. And the inner curve of my elbows both felt bruised. For a second I was certain that I'd fallen out of bed, then discarded that notion on the basis that I still had a pillow as well as an itchy blanket underneath me. Apparently I'd been too keen on my nap to get under the covers.

"It's about time you came around."

I shot upright, then had to bite back a cry of pain. "Jimmy?!"

In Which Travis Is Cautious and Rather Intelligent (and then a little brave and stupid)

That morning, Travis awoke to find the cottage oddly empty. Usually he could hear Ayleigh downstairs making breakfast, or hitting the ceiling with a broomstick to make him get out of bed if it was a school day. Maybe now that Damien was back, they were talking in the library, or something more private. Travis made a face. He still wasn't fond of the idea, but he was probably going to have to get used to it.

EDIT: Little things, but still. Significant ones.

I had no idea these were a trend until today. I rarely do portraits (closeups just hate me), and I'm pretty sure I've never done baseless pixel art, so I thought I'd give it a go just for the sake of those.

That's how I dress, pretty much, I even have the hat over a pointless ponytail. But the fishing pole....is kind of an in-joke. I was having a conversation about how there are certain places I'd never go because of the shocking amount of stupid people. If I ever have to, then I want to carry around a fishing pole to whack the Stupid on the backs of their necks.

I forgot how much pixel art hates my shoulder. And I think the clicky-ness of my stylus is starting to get tetchy.
