Contra-Bandy ch13I woke up to hear someone I didn't know singing a song I barely recognized as a Russian folk song.  None of Shawn's friends had ever struck me as the type to hold onto anyone's roots, so I assumed I'd woken up in the other place.  It wasn't Mari, though, and it was definitely not Jimmy.  It was a woman's voice, but nothing like Mari's lilting contralto.  She sounded young.

"No."  It was late in the evening and I still hadn't slept.  Came close a few times, but thanks to a few full pots of coffee, I was ready to stay up 'til four in the morning.  It was probably only eleven o'clock.
