A Cuckoo Sings Inside Me cover by Kid-Apocalypse A Cuckoo Sings Inside Me cover by Kid-Apocalypse
FINALLY.

I've had a vague idea for this for some time, but at last I figured out how I wanted to do it. What was holding me back before was finding the right stock for a foundation.

After starting with two basic people-stocks, I defined several places with white lines, and then free-handed all of the details that are obviously not part of the original photographs. The annoying background was just me being dumb.

Dunno if I've said (on dA) yet, but the title is a reference to the habits of birds and a Sigur Rós song.

The font is My Fair Cody, from dafont

Whatever works. :giggle: There's a wall in my house painted to supposedly look like marble and the patterns have offered up a plethora of picture ideas and inspirations.

That's the coolest thing ever. :D Oh wow, you reminded me of the mirror wall in our old living room / dining room combination--the whole thing was a panelled mirror, but there was some kind of gold vine design all over it as well.

Yeah, even Michaelangelo was known to pick up ideas from soot smudges in the fire place. :)
That must have been cool. I've never seen a whole mirrored wall except in photos. It can sure open up a room. Did the glass have patterning on it too?

Really? That's awesome.
 We loved it. The gold was the only pattern, I think, the glass was otherwise just a smooth, normal mirror. We used to write on it with special markers for birthdays. :D Oddly, it was all brick on the other side (in the carport-turned garage).

Oh that's a cool cover-up for brick! And I like that you were able to employ it thusly. :)

 To tell the truth, I kind of miss the whole Big Families thing we used to have there. Writing on the mirror and "heart-attacking" people's lawns... we used to do some crazy stuff for birthdays and stuff.

ffffffffffffff- now I wanna make a cover for my NaNo-Novel...even if this year I am going to just write a semi-lengthy fanfic instead of an actual original novel. lol

You could make covers for books that don't even exist. I don't see why a fanfic can't have a cover.
